Oh, what a difference a year makes … and what a difference it doesn’t.
Last year, during my annual trip to Vermont for New Year’s, I entertained myself in a Brattleboro, Vt. antique store by taking macro photos of the various statues and dolls in the shop. I was carrying a small Canon point-and-shoot, and was on my break from working as Web editor for Long Island Business News.
This year, I took the same trip, though this time a break from working as a regional editor for Patch.com. I was even dragged to the same antique store. Though this time I only had my iPhone, and this wonderful Hipstamatic app that takes vintage-style photos.
So, just like last year, I took photos of the various knick-knacks that were on sale.
All things considered, this year’s photos were better.
