Twitter Taste Live: Tickle my fingers

For the second time, I participated in Twitter Taste Live, an especially fun wine tasting for geeks like me that combines wine love with social media overkill. (Ah, geekdom, I sing your anthem proudly through purple-stained lips.)
While last time I got to taste a series of Finger Lakes cabernet francs, which were as a whole quite good, this time my cohorts and I tasted sparkling wine made in the upstate New York region. I’d never had a bubbly from there, I didn’t even know they were making them in the …

Photos: Art is a vandal

We’re always walking through an art museum, wherever we are, as landscapes and still lifes, portraits and even abstract art can be found everywhere you look.

Last night I found this presentation with Mike Rowe, host of Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs, and the narrator of countless others, explaining that very thing. He calls it, “getting it wrong.”
He makes a few great points that had me thinking about a few …

Social media expert? Yes I am

I accepting this label of social media expert I here bye promise not to retweet Mashable headlines all day, recite every Twitter anecdote I overhear, and make a fancy Twitter background that clearly labels me a “social media” guy.
However, I can admit I know a thing or two about managing a newspaper’s social media footprint.
Here’s the video proof.
